What kid doesn’t love the slimy or scaley? This week’s WCSG’s Trvelin’ Together visits a local museum offering a cleaner tour of the reptilian world. The Michigan Maritime Museum is partnering with the Saratt Nature Center this weekend to explore the world of the reptile and the amphibian. Kids can view live, animal ambassadors and get a close up look at the world they inhabit. The South Haven museum will host the exhibit of both native and non-native to Michigan animals. While you're there, you can also take in the museum's new Heritage Center. The latest exhibit features a look at Lake Michigan's Passenger Steamships. There are other areas to explore including a variety of vessels, specialty houses, and the way life was on the water centuries ago. This weekend's event will give your kids a view of the living conditions, eating habits, and the animals contribution to the eco-system, kids will get firsthand expertise from handlers willing to answer all questions scaley!
