Database Coordinator
JOB TITLE: Database Coordinator
CLASSIFICATION: Full-time, .8 FTE, 32 hours a week
REPORTS TO: Database Administrator
DEPT: Advancement
LOCATION: Radio
SUMMARY: The database coordinator will provide essential support for advancement initiatives, specializing in CU advancement campaigns, appeals, events, and other needs communicated by the CU advancement department. This individual plays an integral role in communicating and upholding database procedures, providing accurate reporting for key decision makers, maintaining database integrity, and importing specifically assigned constituent data in the Raiser’s Edge CRM. The database coordinator will also support a cross-functional team dynamic.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates strategic donor and alumni reports for key decision makers, including but not limited to, the Board of Trustees, VP of Advancement and Development Officers.
- Reconciles the annual fund and other key funds with the finance office each month.
- Creates and maintains online donation pages.
- Creates constituent lists and sends mass email communications.
- Creates accurate and timely mailing lists for fundraising campaigns and year-end tax summary mailing.
- Import key constituent (i.e., student, alumni, employee, and donor) data into Raiser’s Edge.
- Performs database maintenance, ensures integrity and accuracy of data, including duplicate account reduction, relationships, and address updates.
- Works collaboratively with CRM end users to incorporate useful data that will help inform key decision makers and maximize system effectiveness.
- Collaborate with the Database Administrator to develop and maintain procedural controls to protect the database against inappropriate access, breaches of confidentiality, corruption, and/or loss of data.
- Attends trainings, webinars and workshops as required for maintaining knowledge, ensuring compliance and professional development.
- All Cornerstone University and WCSG employees may interact with students in various projects, activities, and settings. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES:
- Experience working with CRM systems and databases with preference to Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge and Ellucian Colleague
- A working knowledge of Word, Excel, and Microsoft 365
- Excellent organizational skills with an orientation to detail
- Flexibility to adapt to changing environments
- High standard of personal and professional integrity
