06/04/26 - Tribute to Trucking - Free Admission
Posted by: Joel Hill | Thursday, June 4th, 2026 ( 6:00am)
For lovers of the big trucks, you can explore more in this week’s WCSG’s Travelin’ Together. As soon as the automobile was invented, trucks were not far behind. Learn more about how the trucking industry has sharped and changed the community of West Michigan at the Lakeshore Museum Center in Muskegon as they host their free community day on Saturday with a tribute to trucking! The Muskegon Heritage Museum is offering free admission to the exhibit exploring the many ways Muskegon County has mobilized these machines to make products, produce, and material accessible and affordable. The exhibit is part of the 2026 series focusing on transportation. A great way to learn and have fun for free this weekend. The exhibit focuses on the progression of transportation around the region, from horse drawn carriages, to the development of the automobile and finally into larger scale transportation, meant to improve commerce, work, and even leisure travel. The museum is conveniently located in downtown Muskegon, with plenty of parking at the center but also on the street. Learn more about hours, parking, and locations by visiting their website Lakeshore Museum.

For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
