Bikes in the Zoo, a longtime bicycle event in Kalamazoo, is expanding their program this year. 

This year’s free event will feature vintage, retro, and electric bikes as they look to encourage people to get out and use that pedal power. If you have a classic bike you’d like to display, you’re encouraged to bring it to the show. There will be live demonstrations, a number of local groups that promote movement and exercise, as well as neighborhood and community groups looking to share their efforts to promote local involvement. 

Activities start at Noon on Saturday the 10th at the Kalamazoo Mall and run through 4pm. The event is also meant to kick off Kalamazoo Bike Week, running the 11th through the 18th. For details, including registering your bike, visit their website Bikes in the Zoo.
