(LUDINGTON, Mich.) - The “cARTier Trail” at the popular Cartier Park Pathway near Ludington, features three 4-foot by 3-foot artworks displayed in metal frames. The works will be rotated out annually. All works displayed are by art center members. The artwork is spaced out along the trail’s one-mile loop. Art will be on display year-round. The Ludington Area Center for the Arts hopes this will help foster a community where arts and culture are brought together. Cartier Park is a city park featuring the 80 acres of mature forest with the pathway, a campground, a dog park, a boat launch, biking trails, fishing piers and more. The Cartier Park Pathway is an easily accessible, paved one-mile loop with minimal elevation. Generally considered an easy route, it takes an average of 26 minutes to complete. This trail is great for birding, camping, and hiking. This park is also a great cycling destination for families with young children and first-time riders. Here you can also explore 3.5 miles of mountain bike trails and enjoy views of Lincoln Lake. A parking lot is located on Rath Avenue at the corner of Bryant Road.
