Nine miles of hiking trails, designed to not only explore a distinctly Michigan environment, but also to instill a sense of gratitude awaits in Hastings. Our WCSG’s Travelin Together visits the Pierce Cedar Creek Institute. Situated on 850 acres, the institute boasts something for everyone. It offers indoor and outdoor activities including free hiking trails, and art exhibits that feature wildlife in the area.

A research facility is on the grounds conducting environmental exploration for a number of students from the area. Explore the ‘Gratitude Walk’ or cozy up in The Nature Nook located in the Visitors Center. For the little ones, a nature inspired playground is situated between the visitors center and the education building.
