Storm Team 8's Sara Flynn Helps us See the upcoming Solar Eclipse

Posted by: Jeremy & Amanda | Wednesday, March 27th, 2024 (10:02am)

A solar eclipse will be passing over the United States on April 8. To learn a little more about it, and to ensure we view it safely, we connect with Sara Flynn from Storm Team 8!

If you're looking for a great way to catch the eclipse, WoodTV shared that "the Grand Rapids Public Museum is hosting a viewing party and events on April 8."

Additionally, WoodTV shared that since April 8th's eclipse is only a partial eclipse, it still will be "vital to have the right type of glasses" and that "regular sunglasses will not work" because the sun rays are quite dangerous to your eyes.

One of the best ways to watch the eclipse is through the use of "certified solar eclipse glasses that are 100,000 times darker" than traditional sun glasses, according to WoodTV. WoodTV also shared that "the public museum is selling around 10,000 certified solar eclipse glasses for $1.75."

Encouraging Words From Your Bible

Whoever wants to be great must become a servant. Whoever wants to be first among you must be your slave. That is what the Son of Man has done: he came to serve, not be served – and then to give away his life in exchange for the many who are held hostage.
