Happy Holidays from WCSG!

The final stop on our Behind the Merry Scenes Tour is the Christmas and Holiday Traditions exhibit at Frederik Meijer Gardens. This Christmas activity combines cultures and traditions through ornate Christmas trees and unique displays! If you are looking for an educational and beautiful outing this holiday season, take some time to wander through the gardens!

During your time in the gardens, stroll through the Christmas tree arrangements representing 46 different holiday traditions. It is a perfect place to grab a festive holiday family photo while learning about other cultures from around the world! Trees feature ornaments form, historic periods, local artists, and gifts from the community.

A special crew of staff, volunteers, and community groups, work together to create the Christmas displays; trees, tradition exhibits, and the Railway Garden. That’s part of the beauty of the gardens; it takes a community to provide all the vivid ornaments, but also to help prepare for this special occasion! It takes two weeks to get it all done! Meijer Gardens is grateful to their Christmas volunteers and the help of the other 70,000 volunteers they have every year to keep doing their best for our community!

The Christmas and Holiday Traditions run through January 7, 2024 with different events throughout the season including Winter Glow and Carolers. Be sure to check out all their family friendly activities this holiday season!

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up.
