07/10/25 - WCSG's Travelin' Together - Bear Lake Days
Posted by: Joel Hill | Thursday, July 10th, 2025 ( 6:14am)
Our WCSG’s Travelin’ Together series visits a unique Northern Michigan festival. Bear Lake Days offers a small-town festival atmosphere amidst crowds that you would expect in a suburb of a large metropolitan city. The three-day festival includes all the small town games and activities one would expect, and that’s what makes it special. The Village is located in the northern part of Manistee County, about 15 miles north of Manistee on US 31. You get the home town feel even with crowds that swell to three times the normal population of Bear Lake. This festival includes games, a parade, and even a pig roast. There’s music and hot air balloon rides. You can take in the antique car show, along with an arts and crafts fair. Stick around to take in the pancake breakfast on Sunday morning and then enjoy church services to conclude the festival. For more information, visit the Pure Michigan Website - Bear Lake Days. Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.
