Social media has its benefits, but it also carries a variety of pitfalls and dangers. With the new school year looming, social media companies are offering parents help in protecting their kids. Snapchat is launching "Family Center" that allows parents to see who their children are chatting with. It doesn't reveal content, but knowing who kids are talking to is a great first step in keeping our kids safe! Learn more about Snapchat's "Family Center" HERE! Meanwhile, Instagram is released some tools that allow parents to see which accounts their children follow, who follows their children, and how much time they spend on the app. More about Instagram can be found HERE! Social media can be a great tool but it can also fuel and facilitate destructive acts such as vandalism in schools, deadly viral challenges, bullying, eating disorders and even human trafficking. We have had several conversation with Jenn Amo from Warning Lights which seeks to inform and start the conversation of Human Trafficking with families, schools, and organizations. Learn more about Warning Lights here! Here are our conversations with Jenn Amo from Warning Lights, perhaps the could be a great resource for you and your family.
