Behind the Merry Scenes

Happy Holiday’s from WCSG!

Looking for a fun Christmas activity to do with your family, but want to stay nice and warm at the same time? The Christmas Lite Show at the LMCU Ballpark might just be for you!

Put on some festive pj’s and load up the car to visit the Christmas Lite Show in Comstock Park. Drive through this 2-mile Christmas wonderland, illuminated by 2 million LED lights in beautiful displays and tunnels. It will be sure to put a smile on your kid’s faces. Or, if you want to experience the light show in a new way, they offer specific opportunities to walk, run or bike through the show at the beginning of the season!

Right after Labor Day, the work begins with 10-12 employees' laser cutting new displays and building light tunnels to create a memorable Christmas activity for you and your family.

The heart behind the Christmas Lite Show is Bill Schrader. He returned to West Michigan after completing his military career and had a vision to spread the spirit of Christmas throughout the community alongside other veterans. Together, they have successfully carried on this tradition for our community for 26 years! Each year, they team up with the Grand Rapids Veterans Home, whom they generously support. The Veterans home honored Bill Schrader and the Christmas Lite Show last year by rededicating the water fountain, that was originally built in the 1800’s, to them. It is so encouraging to see our community come together because we are stronger together than we ever could be apart.

Encouraging Words From Your Bible

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. A time to be born and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to harvest. A time to kill and a time to heal. A time to tear down and a time to build up.
