Color is an important means of keeping your diet on track.

We are all trying to stay healthy, but a simple rule can help us stay on track while providing a lot more flavor to our diets.

"Eat the Rainbow."

Color is an important component in keeping us healthy.  More color in our diet translates into better health.

"Foods that have a lot of color, that indicates that they have a lot of vitamins and minerals."

Kristen Kirkpatrick with the Cleveland Clinic says we derive antioxidants and phytonutrients from foods that are more colorful.

We also need to be aware of the need for Vitamin C and D.  Both help support the immune system.

Another key is to avoid high-processed foods, fast food, and added sugars which can all negatively impact our immune systems.
