12/9/21 - Lawmakers Work To Get Money To Help Deal With COVID

Michigan lawmakers introduce a plan to would provide some extra funding for various programs as they work to bring down the positive cases of COVID in our state.

Michigan hospitals continue to admit patients specifically for COVID-19.

Many across the state say they are forced to turn away patients because they don't have enough beds.

A group of state lawmakers have introduced a plan to help.

The package of bills being considered include money for:

-recruiting and keeping healthcare employees

-testing and lab grants

-to facilitate and distribute more vaccines

-antibody treatments for the most at-risk patients

Lawmakers say they are confident the billion-dollar legislation will pass and the governor will sign it.
