National Aviation Day is a great reason to visit the airport and you get to celebrate a milestone anniversary!
In honor of National Aviation Day, the Gerald R. Ford International Airport will be hosting a free, family-friendly event.
Our WCSG’s Travlin’ Together takes a trip to the airport which is celebrating its 60th anniversary this Saturday. The event will include staged aircraft displays, a visit by Aero Med, and an opportunity see up close the airports fire trucks and other vehicles that help the facility run smoothly. There will be outdoor games, live music, food trucks and face painting for the kids. You won’t walk away empty handed as there will be plenty of free giveaways from a number of community partners.
Park in the economy lot and you’ll be directed where to enter from there. The event runs from 10am-3pm.
