Clare turns green the third weekend of March to celebrate "Get Your Irish On" and to celebrate their Irish heritage.

(Clare, Mich.) - The city of Clare, in Clare County, is getting ready to celebrate the "Get Your Irish On" Irish Festival during the third weekend of March. 

The city of Clare is located just off US-127, north of Mount Pleasant.  Clare County is called "The gateway to the North" with most of the county undeveloped wooded lands that provide amazing displays of colors in both the Spring and Fall. They offer a number of lakes and several trails, like the popular Green Pine Lake Pathway.

March 15 - 18, 2024, Clare will celebrate their Irish heritage and traditions and the community has held the "Get Your Irish On" festival for almost the last 50 years.

Some of the events during the festival include: a parade, bed race, craft show, leprechaun contest, Irish recipe contest, road races, an Irish pet photo contest, while local restaurants and cafes will have Irish themed offerings and the retail community also have planned activities.
