Just outside Rockford is an outdoor retreat and camping facility called "Detach Primitive."

“Detach Primitive”, north of Rockford, is a four-season retreat and educational center and is located on 50 acres off Summit Avenue.                  There are a number of wooded trails, as well as easy access to the White Pine Trail.                                                                                                They provide unique outdoor spaces for guests to unplug and relax.                                                                                                                                 The facility offers campsites to rent, including: a Tipi, Yurt, A-frame and an underground hobbit home.                                                                           Those who decide to spend the night will need to pack light because it is a ½ mile to ¾ of a mile back to the sites.                                               During the winter months they offer fat tire biking, and when there’s enough snow: snowshoeing, cross-country skiing, sledding, and ice-skating.

Detach Primitive is constantly building on the property, offering unique experiences, and adding more amenities.

Encouraging Words From Your Bible

“My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”
