The Police Chief of Collierville, TN, says prayers were answered after no one passed away from their injuries. Mourns loss of life in shooting.

Tennessee authorities are being praised for quick action following a terrible act that injured 15 and claimed the life of one person.

Collierville Police Chief Dale Lane says he won't release the identity of the person believed responsible saying he didn't want to offer them any notoriety.  However, other outlets have released the identity of an alleged shooter at a Kroger store.  The shooting left one dead and 15 wounded.
"Thankfully, our prayers were answered.  We didn't lose anyone overnight.  There are still some people battling so continue to pray for them as well."

Lane says police arrived on the scene of the Kroger store within minutes of receiving the distress call.  Lane says not one officer hesitated to enter the building to protect fellow citizens.  Just recently, the town had held a planning exercise for such an event.  Lane says fire fighters recently received updated equipment to help protect them during such an incident.

The alleged shooter was identified as a third-party vendor for the Kroger store.  No motive has been released and the FBI has begun searching the home of the alleged shooter.
