Wednesday is the last day for ground delivery for those wanting to get gifts in time for Christmas.

-2.3 billion pieces of mail and packages are expected to be processed and delivered this week.

Today (Wednesday, December 15) is the last day for ground delivery with FedEx and USPS. UPS recommends using its website to get an estimate.

This week is expected to be the busiest week of the Christmas mailing and shipping season.

Retailers' shipping deadlines for online orders may vary. Many stores say they will offer curbside and in-store pickup through Christmas Eve.
