12/01/21 - Michigan Teen to Be Arraigned on Terrorism Charges

Oxford High School was the scene of a school shooting Tuesday afternoon. A suspect is in custody.

The 15 year old from Oakland County is reported to have had an interaction with school administrators before the shooting on Tuesday.

A 15-year old faces terrorism and murder charges.  He is expected to be charged as an adult.  Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.
"I agree with the charges that have been levied.  I agree with holding this individual wholly, and completely responsible for the deplorable, tragic event that occurred, by choice".

The student at Oxford High School will face one count of terrorism and four counts of homicide, in addition to multiple counts of assault.  Bouchard says three, 15-round magazines were recovered at the scene.  He says the quick action of officers prevented more harm.

While no motive has been released, Bouchard says the teen was in a meeting that morning with administrators and at one point, his parents were called to the school to help deal with the situation they described as “concerning behavior.”  Before that, the student had no disciplinary action in his school record.

The parents of the teen were at the arraignment via video.  The arraignment was postponed while new lawyers were able to meet with the teen.
