5/4/22 - May 3rd, Was Election Day In Michigan

The May Election in Michigan typically draws fewer voters to the polls.

Tuesday was Election Day in Michigan.   

There was a special election to fill a vacant seat in the 74th House District.  Democrat Carol Glanville received the most votes. She will fill that seat for the next few months but then the seat will be up for grabs again in November. 

A number of communities had school related issues and other proposals.

-Wyoming voters said NO to an income tax proposal but said YES to the property tax proposal.

Muskegon County residents said NO to a millage increase.

Kalamazoo voters passed a bond for their public schools and YES to a law enforcement and safety millage renewal.
