5/17/22 - New Safety Rules For South Haven Beaches

photo - southhaven.org

South Haven says new safety rules will hopefully help prevent deaths along their area beaches.

Communities along the lakeshore say they are working to make their beaches safer.

South Haven says they will implement new safety rules and want to prevent people from going onto the pier or into the water when conditions are dangerous.  They will begin posting "closing" signs and violators could face fines.

Unsafe and dangerous conditions could include: severe weather, high waves with a strong undertow,  contamination, or debris washing ashore.

There would be exceptions for those who want to participate in activities like surfing or kite boarding.

Encouraging Words From Your Bible

For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “no” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ…
