3/4/22 - Amazon Offers Tuition-Free Education For Some Employees

Amazon wants to help their workers grow their skills and is partnering to offer a tuition-free education.

(AMAZON news release) -  Amazon is partnering with 4 Michigan colleges and universities to provide free tuition for their employees.   Amazon says it’s part of their expanded career advancement program which is meant to help workers grow their skills.                                                                                                             Amazon’s hourly employees in Michigan can now receive fully funded tuition to earn a bachelor’s degree or industry certification at GVSU and GRCC,  Eastern Michigan University or Henry Ford College.

Amazon employees in Michigan will also have access to a tuition-free online education at some other schools outside of the state.

 

The company also announced new partnerships that will provide employees with free high school completion and GED preparation, English language proficiency training, and college preparation courses.

 

Nationwide, Amazon is partnering with over 140 colleges and universities to provide fully-funded tuition to over 750,000 hourly employees in the United States.
