2/21/22 - Wyoming Man Arrested For Decades Old Assult on Student

The former teacher at Godwin Middle School is accused of months long abuse of a student.

A former Godwin Middle School teacher is in custody after being charged with assault of a student from the mid-90’s.  49-year old Charles Elsenheimer of Wyoming is accused of assaulting the victim, who is now an adult. 

Its alleged Elsenheimer was a band teacher during the time the assaults are alleged to have occurred, during the 1996/97 school year.  Police say its believed the assaults continued for several months both in school and outside of school.

An investigation by public safety included witnesses, as well as district information.  Elsenheimer faces a charge of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the 1st degree.  Elsenheimer was arraigned on the charge back on February 10, 2022.

Wyoming Public Safety says they are not aware of any additional victims.
