2/17/22 - The Grand Rapids Boat Show Takes Place This Weekend At DeVos Place

It's time to think ahead to summer and warmer weather. Some 30 dealers will display hundreds of boats at DeVos Place in Grand Rapids this weekend.

The 77th annual Grand Rapids Boat Show will take place in Grand Rapids. The event runs Wednesday through Sunday, Feb. 16 - 20, 2022.

The array of Runabouts, Fishing Boats, and Ski and Surf Inboards will be on display as well as the popular Pontoon Boats.

Michigan’s Boat Show — with the longest running tradition — also has the reputation for the finest style. Over 30 dealers will display more than 400 boats from over 80 manufacturers from aluminum fishing boats and personal watercraft to pro style ski and bass boats, luxury pontoon boats, runabouts and deck boats and for 2022, attendees will see the greatest showing ever of boats for the Great Lakes!

For the past several years, an excellent showing of Cruisers, Tiara, Formula, Robalo, Scout, Boston Whaler, Ranger Tugs, Yellowfin, Cobalt and Regal Yachts have been on display. This year’s Queen of the Show is the Regal 36 Coupe from Grand Bay Marine.

Antique & Classic Boat Display

An impressive display of wooden boats, presented by the Water Wonderland Chapter of the Antique & Classic Boat Society, will once again be on display at the Boat Show. Members of the Water Wonderland Chapter will be on-hand to answer questions and share stories from days gone by.

Boating Safety Certification Course

Saturday, February 19 from 12pm – 5pm

Get your certification done in one day by the Kent County Sheriff Department’s Marine Division on Saturday at the Boat Show and be ready to hit the water this Summer! Typically these classes take multiple evenings. Here is your opportunity to get certified, and simply a smart thing to do!

There is no fee to attend the Boating Safety Class. Participants should gather in the main entrance lobby of DeVos Place and will be directed to the seminar room just before 12pm.

Twiggy the Waterskiing Squirrel

This internationally famous star will return to the Grand Rapids Boat Show! Come join Twiggy and her team for a family friendly, fun-filled, interactive show featuring Twiggy the Water-Skiing Squirrel! Learn all about water safety, water-skiing and what wild things Twiggy gets into at her lagoon.
