Haitian Police report they have proof hostages are alive.

While not saying exactly what their proof is, a member of the Haiti police force tells news outlet France 24 that there is evidence the hostages are alive.

The official arm of the Haiti Police communications has not confirmed this news.

Police are also saying negotiations are ongoing, and that several FBI agents are in the country assisting with the talks.

17 American missionaries, including some from West Michigan, were taken back on October 16 after visiting an orphanage.  The group included several children.  The group is part of an organization called Christian Aid Ministries which is headquartered out of Ohio.

The US State Department advises against travel to Haiti due to an increase in kidnappings.

Christ is the power of God and the wisdom of God. This “foolish” plan of God is wiser than the wisest of human plans, and God's weakness is stronger than the greatest of human strength.
