It's National School Choice Week and Grand Rapids Public wants to make sure parents and students are aware of the many school choices available to them.
Hundreds of Michigan students and educators will flock to the State Capitol today to celebrate the power of education. The event will be the flagship celebration in the state during National School Choice Week.
The capitol celebration will include a celebration as students and educators set up display tables highlighting what makes their school unique. Families will have a chance to explore schools, share stories, meet legislators and supporters, and more.
Grand Rapids Public Schools will hold the School Choice Expo and Snow Spectacular, Thursday, from 4:30 - 6:30 at City High Middle School.
Guests will enjoy a free taco dinner, giveaways, and games and activities while learning more about GRPS school choices and the school enrollment process.
There will be representatives from over 40 schools on hand to answer questions.
