1/24/22 - Travel is a Little Trickey This Morning

Snow and ice are problems drivers will face with this morning's commute.

Winter weather is not as harsh as past days, but a little ice is creating big problems.

AAA is urging us to take more precautions as we’re experiencing temperatures in the teens and the likelihood of snowfall.  Two out of three traffic crashes that occur during inclement weather, happen on snowy, slushy or icy pavement.

So AAA and the Kent County Road Commission have some tips to keep you a little safer on your commute.

Allow extra time to reach your destination.

Reduce speeds to maintain control

Leave plenty of room between vehicles.

Remember not to use cruise control, and that four-wheel drive helps you get going quicker, but won’t help you stop any faster.

Encouraging Words From Your Bible

Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.
