Every year, on June 14th , countries around the world celebrate World Blood Donor Day. The event serves to thank voluntary, unpaid blood donors for their life-saving gifts of blood and to raise awareness of the need for regular blood donations to ensure the quality, safety and availability of blood and blood products for patients in need.
Summer can be a critical time for blood banks as many regular donors are on vacation and schedules are interrupted with summer activities. High Schools and Colleges are closed and not able to host blood drives during the summer months.

With nearly 50 established donor centers across Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio and Wisconsin, along with blood drives at businesses, schools and places of worship, it’s easy to find a location to donate blood near you.
Find Your Closest Center
All of our centers are clean and staffed with friendly people who can easily answer any questions you may have about your scheduled donation. We always encourage scheduling your appointment before hand, but walkins are always welcome. To save time you can always complete your donor questionnaire the morning of your appointment using our VersiPASS system.
