Bed Bath & Beyond will start closing stores and begin sales on Wednesday.

-Bed Bath & Beyond filed for bankruptcy protection and reported on Sunday, that they will start winding down their operations. They will start seeking a buyer for all or some of their businesses.

The company has been struggling for awhile. There is no word yet on their future. It is possible that it could emerge from bankruptcy as an on-line only retailer but nothing has been determined yet.

The company has stores in all 50 states and still have several located in Michigan.

Beginning Wednesday, shoppers will not be able to use those 20% off coupons they get in the mail.

May 8, will be the last day to use gift cards.
