The spring equinox takes place Sunday and many are trying to make plans for upcoming vacations.

(Positive Prep) - The spring equinox happens this Sunday and marks the astronomical first day of spring all around the Northern Hemisphere.

More families are traveling again and are looking forward to taking vacations.

Experts are saying if you have a trip you need to book, lock it in sooner rather than later.

Fuel is the airlines' second-biggest expense after labor.  With gas prices high, fare rates are higher too.

Delta's  President said the airline needs to collect an extra $30 or $40 for each $400 round trip ticket in order to cover its rising fuel costs and so far they are having no trouble doing so given a surge in bookings.

Officials from Delta, American, United, Southwest, and JetBlue have all said they expect to offset their higher fuel bills thanks to travel demand increases for vacationers and an uptick in  business travel.
