A touching moment as two refugee children are welcomed at an elementary school in a district of Naples.

In the midst of the tragedy in Ukraine, elementary aged children who have escaped were greeted with applause in Italy.  Two Ukrainian children were welcomed with applause, blue and yellow flags.  Several children volunteered to show them around as the children's first day of school comes amidst the horrors of war.

More than two million Ukrainians have fled the fighting that has engulfed the country.

The Italian government reports close to 35-thousand refugees have been admitted into the country to escape the fighting.  The government will be using seized properties from criminal activity to providing housing.

Check out the touching video of the children being welcomed.
