Tuesday is Election Day with polls open from 7am - 8pm. Those voting absentee need to drop them off at the Clerk's office of Drop Box in their jurisdiction.

-Many Michigan voters will head to the polls Tuesday for the General Election.

Michigan recognizes General Election Day as an official holiday but we are among 21 states that do not mandate employers give employees time off to vote.  It is up to each individual employer to decide if they will schedule Election Day time off.

If you haven't voted in the last few Elections then you may want to double check your polling location because some have changed due to redistricting.

If you are not registered to vote, and would like to, you can bring in the necessary information to your Clerk's office, register, then vote in person.

If you are voting absentee and still have the ballot, make sure you sign it and return it to the Clerk's office or put it in a designated Drop Box.  Do not mail it.

More election information is available on the Michigan Secretary of State's website.

Encouraging Words From Your Bible

Free those who are wrongly imprisoned; lighten the burden of those who work for you. Let the oppressed go free, and remove the chains that bind people. Share your food with the hungry, and give shelter to the homeless. Give clothes to those who need them, and do not hide from relatives who need your help.
