Many non-profits are seeing an increase in requests for food assistance as November first SNAP benefits are scheduled to stop. Feeding America West Michigan says they’ve seen requests jump dramatically over the last few years, and expect to see more as assistance has been cut off at the federal level. Other agencies' report requests have been increasing. Many are making more appeals for both monetary and food donations. One agency that’s coordinating food support is the Heart of West Michigan United Way. If you’d like to help you can visit their website - Heart of West MI United Way.
