Wildlife Care Apprentice (ages 10-15)

Is your child interested in the world of wildlife care? Or have they participated in one of our Wildlife Camps and want to experience more? Join our wildlife team for this half-day Wildlife Care Apprenticeship program! Similar to our Wildlife Camps, this program allows your child to get hands-on experience with Blandford’s wildlife ambassadors. Participants will spend the afternoon meeting the ambassadors, providing them with food and enrichment, and then heading outdoors for a wildlife-seeking adventure on the Blandford property. Participants will go home with a Blandford vintage logo vinyl sticker and stories to tell of their fun afternoon!

Our Wildlife Programs Specialist, Sarah Peterson, will be leading this program, and will be assisted by our wildlife volunteers and Wildlife Manager.

Note: This is a drop-off program for chidlren ages 10-15, so allergy and emergency information is required for all registrants. Preregistration is required. Non-Members: $75
Members: $60

Note: This program will take place indoors and outdoors, even in rain and snow. Participants should dress for the weather. In the event of severe weather, this program may be canceled and you will be notified of your refund options.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests received at least 7 days before the scheduled program are eligible for a 50% refund of the total registration cost, not including the credit card processing fee. Due to administration costs, full refunds are not available. Cancellation requests received within 7 days of a program are not eligible for a refund. In the event that Blandford must cancel the program, you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund. All community programs will have a registrant minimum. If the minimum is not met, you will be contacted by Blandford Nature Center and notified of your refund options.
