On September 9-16, 2024, join Cornerstone University’s Welch Heritage Institute for Lifelong Learning on an unforgettable weeklong trip to explore the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem! This transformative experience will open your eyes to new dimensions of God’s creation by exploring the ecosystem of the park — from its geysers to its greenery. Join fellow Cornerstone alumni and lifelong learners on this trip hosted by longtime biology professor Raymond (“Gator”) Gates.
Yellowstone National Park sits atop a volcanic hot spot and spans three states — a vast and thriving ecosystem that includes alpine tundra, whitebark pine forests and the geyser basin. During the 2024 Yellowstone Trip, explore each feature and majestic aspect of the nation’s first national park through the lens of a Christian worldview. Professor Gates, your trip guide, will discuss the relationship between Noah’s flood and the geology of Yellowstone National Park, the irreducible complexity of the animals and plants in the area, and the value of biodiversity and our role as caretakers of God’s creation.
This trip is limited to the first 10 registrants.
