A 5K with a partner — one blindfolded, one guiding — for a powerful glimpse of life without sight and the and the hope cataract surgery brings.
We’d love to invite your office to be part of BlindK 2025, our annual fundraising and awareness event supporting global eye care — and a great way to have fun while making a real impact.
You can join us two ways this year:
In person on Saturday, October 25, from 10 a.m.–2 p.m. at Lakeshore High School’s track (5771 Cleveland Ave, Stevensville, MI 49127). Families, friends, and neighbors will gather to run or walk with a partner — one blindfolded, one guiding — for a powerful glimpse of life without sight and the hope cataract surgery brings.
Virtually from anywhere in the world on October 25–26.
Registration is $35 and includes a BlindK t-shirt and blindfold, symbolizing how small contributions can restore sight. The fee mirrors the average cost of cataract surgery in the international regions we serve.
Vision Outreach International (VOI), the nonprofit arm of Great Lakes Eye Care (Offices in South Bend, South Haven, St. Joseph and Niles), is focused on restoring sight in underserved communities through:
Our voucher program for FREE eye exams and glasses in Berrien, Cass, and Van Buren Counties.
Hands-on MSICS (Manual Small Incision Cataract Surgery) training for ophthalmologists around the world.
International mission trips to provide sight-saving care where it’s needed most.
In 2024, we were able to provide: 1,455 life-changing surgeries, 2,458 sight evaluations, and 14 physicians trained in MSICS.
