Salt and Light Ministry at Georgetown Christian Fellowship presents “Science Confirms the Bible,” featuring Dr. Christopher Rupe, President of Back to Genesis, on Sunday, October 18, 2026. Be equipped, stay informed, and share the truth through two sessions exploring biblical authority, origins, and the interpretation of scientific evidence.
10:00 a.m. | Why Genesis 1–11 Matters
Explore why Moses, Jesus, and the New Testament writers understood Genesis 1–11 as actual historical events. Dr. Rupe will discuss how reinterpretations of Genesis can affect confidence in Scripture and why he believes a biblical understanding of origins is essential to strengthening faith and sharing the gospel in a skeptical world.
6:30 p.m. | Understanding Origins
Is the creation/evolution controversy a matter of science versus faith, or a clash between competing accounts of history? Dr. Rupe will examine how biblical and Darwinian views of history shape interpretations of scientific evidence. Attendees will also learn how to evaluate competing interpretations by examining their underlying assumptions and internal consistency.
Both sessions are free, and all are welcome!
