Though 24 years have passed, the pain of that tragic day remains. Nearly 3,000 lives were taken in the attacks on the Twin Towers, the Pentagon, and in the skies over Pennsylvania. For our family and the families of the victims, and for those who served so bravely in rescue efforts, the struggle continues each day. We pause with gratitude for the courageous men and women who continue to protect our freedom and care for our communities. While our nation’s heart was broken and we’ve lost our loved ones, we see how God has brought comfort and hope, reminding us of His promise: “Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” —Isaiah 41:10

When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze.
