5/13/24 - Police Week In America

Police Week is a time to provide extra encouragement aimed toward our law enforcement officers.

This is Police Week in America.

Michigan has approximately 17,000 sworn Law Enforcement Officers supporting our communities.

Over the next few days we are encouraged to show support and honor the men and women who put their lives on the line to keep our communities safe.

The week- long recognition also coincides with National Peace Officers Memorial Day, which is May 15.  Nine fallen police officers from Michigan will be honored at a memorial in Washington D.C. on Wednesday.

Sunday 5/12 - Pray for Law Enforcement in America

Monday 5/13 - Messaging Day

Tuesday 5/14 - Treat Day - Do something to get treats to Officers or buy their coffee or drop off a gift card

Wednesday 5/15 - Peace Keeper Memorial Day - Local police memorials will take place, including a Memorial in Washington 

Thursday 5/16 - Poster/Assembly Day -Create posters supporting Police

Friday, 5/17 - Give Thanks Day - Do something to tell an officer thank you

Saturday 5/18 - Celebration Day! - Make plans to do something as a family to celebrate police
