Journey Through HOLY WEEK DAY4- Passover & Last Supper

Posted by: Marihelena Goudreau | Friday, April 8th, 2022 ( 2:28pm)

On Thursday, Jesus had some of the disciples prepare the Passover Feast. During their time together in the Upper Room, Jesus washed the disciples feet and established communion in rememberance of the sacrifice he would make. Later, Jesus and his disciples went to the Garden of Gethsemane, where Jesus urged his disciples to pray with him. In great agony, Jesus prayed,  "My Father, if it possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." Later that evening, Jesus and his disciples were met by a large crowd where Judas then betrayed Jesus with a kiss. Jesus was then taken to the home of the high priest, where a case would be made against Jesus.

p r a y e r :
Dear Jesus, thank you for showing us Holy Communion. Thank you for giving your body for us. For your cleansing blood that closes the space between man and God- making us clean from all our sins. Thank you for being obedient to the Father's plan for humanity. Amen.
