A former West Michigan football coach, who is now at a Division 2 school, has been suspended.
Tony Annese, who has a history in West Michigan as a successful coach, has been suspended for "an incident" that occurred in the Ferris State football locker room. The university released a statement saying the coach, with experience at Jenison and Muskegon High School as well as at Grand Rapids Community College, was involved in some type of event during halftime of the game against Northern Michigan on October 26. The school did not release details of the "incident" but says the 52-year-old will serve the 8 day suspension that started on Wednesday. Annese will not be involved in this weekends' game at Northwood.
