A multi-county drug-trafficking organization used Michigan's medical marijuana law to grow and sell marijuana across the state.
27 people have been named in a federal criminal complaint following a marijuana bust this week.
On Wednesday agencies served 28 search warrants at 28 separate locations, and 3 more consent searches. Many of the searches were conducted in Muskegon County. Authorities seized more than 500 pounds of marijuana, according to Kent County Undersheriff Jon Hess.
The government said the high-grade marijuana was sold for up to $3,200 a pound.
