Deadly weekend on West MI roads - Oct 14th, 2013 - Local

There were a number of fatal accidents over the weekend in the West MI area.

A teenager was killed and two others were injured after the driver of a car attempted to go airborne over a bridge and flipped the car. The crash happened along 64th Avenue in Van Buren County.

A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Howard City on Sunday. It happened at the intersection of Shaw Lane & Ensley Street. One of the drivers ran a red light in that Montcalm County crash.

One woman is dead after a head-on collision along E. Apple Avenue in Egelston Township. A pick-up truck and a mini-van collided head on Sunday afternoon. A 63-year-old woman died at the scene.

One man is dead after an accident early Sunday morning. It happened just before 8 a.m. along Lincoln Lake Avenue. The pick-up truck was going south when it crossed the center line, hit a telephone pole and fence, then hit a tree. The victim is Jimmy Scofield of Gowen.
