Boston comes from behind to beat the Tigers - Oct 14th, 2013 - Sports

The Boston Red Sox came from behind Sunday night to beat the Detroit Tigers 6-5 and even the series at 1-all.

David Ortiz hit a grand slam in the 8th inning then the winning single came in the 9th...after a wild throw, a wild pitch, and a missed catch.

Detroit starting pitcher Max Scherzer carried a no-hitter into the 6th. He struck out 13 in 7 innings.

The Tigers and Boston resume the series in Detroit for games Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Justin Verlander gets the start Tuesday afternoon.
