Grand Rapids police seek driver in fatal hit-run - Jun 24th, 2013 - Local
— Grand Rapids police say they're looking for a man who fled after his car was involved in a crash that killed a 45-year-old female pedestrian.
Sergeant Allen Noles says the crash happened about 2:10 a.m. Sunday. He says the woman was in the road when an ambulance hit her as it headed for a non-emergency call.
Noles says the woman then was hit by a car heading in the other direction. He says she died at the scene.
Police say they're withholding her name until after they notified her family.
Noles says the man who fled was driving a yellow 1994 Mitsubishi with Michigan license plate CNP7406. He's described as Hispanic, in his late 20s or early 30s, 5-foot-8-inches and stocky, with short black hair.
