.Andrea heads toward Florida - Jun 6th, 2013 - National
Tropical Storm Andrea has formed in the Gulf of Mexico and will continue moving northeastward toward northern Florida. Landfall is expected either Thursday afternoon or evening along the northwest coast of Florida just south of the panhandle. Some intensification is possible before landfall, but the National Hurricane Center is not anticipating strengthening into a hurricane at this time. However, substantial rain is expected through northern Florida on Thursday. As the storm moves up the coast Friday, it will continue to produce heavy rain along the eastern seaboard, but will leave the Gulf of Mexico with diminishing precipitation.
