Searching for clues in Monday's bombing. - Apr 16th, 2013 - National
Authorities investigating the Boston Marathon bombing aren't saying whether they're looking at any possible suspects, but the fire department in the Boston suburb of Revere says on its Facebook page that firefighters responded overnight to the search for "a person of interest." Boston area TV stations are reporting that authorities investigating the bombing executed a search warrant at a Revere apartment, and left with several large bags.
At least three people were killed, including an 8-year-old boy. And some of the 144 people who were taken to local hospitals lost limbs. Seventeen people were critically wounded.
Federal investigators say no one has claimed responsibility for the Boston Marathon attack that killed three people and wounded more than 140. But as investigators search out the who and the why, the alarm has been raised of another terror attack in the U.S. after the explosions at a public event among crowds of thousands of spectators.
Officials are looking at upcoming sporting events worldwide following yesterday's bombing attack at the Boston Marathon. Russian sports officials say they'll beef up security at the Sochi 2014 Winter Games and the World Athletics Championship in Moscow in August. British officials are working on improving security for this Sunday's London Marathon.
