GRPS & former Superintendent come up with deal - Mar 27th, 2013 - Local

Grand Rapids Public Schools and former superintendent Dr. Bernard Taylor reached a settlement Tuesday. Dr. Taylor said he was owed more money and had not received the $330,600 severance that he had hoped for. The district and Taylor said in a joint statement that they have agreed to a $280,000 settlement. The former superintendent sued the district after officials oped against paying him following claims of mismanagement. Dr. Taylor is currently the superintendent in East Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
