— Luke Scott hit a grand slam as part of a six-run sixth inning in the Tampa Bay Rays' 11-5 victory over the Detroit Tigers on Tuesday.
Shelley Duncan also homered for the Rays and Chris Gimenez raised his spring batting average to .382 with a pair of hits.
Devon Travis went deep for the Tigers, and Austin Jackson, Jhonny Peralta and Torii Hunter all added two hits.
Detroit starter Doug Fister took the loss after giving up seven runs and seven hits in 3 2-3 innings.
Manager Jim Leyland said Fister's rough spring wasn't a concern yet, but some adjustments need to be made.
— Detroit Tigers left fielder Andy Dirks bruised his right knee running into a wall while chasing a ball Tuesday.
Dirks says he is day-to-day. His competition for the starting left field spot is Quintin Berry, who is also day-to-day because of tendinitis in his left knee.
Dirks was injured while going after a double hit by Tampa Bay's Jack Cust.
