Snow and a tornado cause problems to the south and east - Feb 11th, 2013 - National

— Mississippi's governor plans to travel to Hattiesburg today to get a look at the damage done by Sunday's tornado.

The twister tore up homes and commercial buildings and the campus of the University of Southern Mississippi. Emergency officials believe a single tornado hit Forrest, Marion and Lamar counties.

— Travel is easing through New England, where a storm that began Friday left parts of the region with more than 3 feet of snow.

Some 180,000 customers are still without electricity in hardest-hit Massachusetts.

Driving bans have been lifted and flights have resumed at major airports that had closed during the storm.
